About Me

Having fallen away from my childhood Roman Catholic faith as a young man, I came to accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior at the age of 34 after I set foot in my first ever Evangelical church in a suburb of Chicago. I had wandered through many worldviews before coming to Christ, living both in decadence and austerity, but it was Christ who broke through all the pride and resistance to the will of God. After becoming a Christian, a six month deployment in a remote region of Afghanistan further convinced me of the truth of the Christian faith and the promise of knowing the fullness of God that can only be known through experiencing the Messiah’s love (Ephesians 3:18-19). No power on earth: no army, no political party, no economic system, no intellectual or social movement can change the heart of a man. Only the power of God in Christ can transform us.

In this blog I hope to provide some compelling reasons to consider Christ. In spite of only seeing things “as in a mirror, indistinctly” I am confident that some of God’s truth can come through even the most broken vessel.
