After being found by Jesus Christ at the age of 34, I discovered Christian Apologetics sitting in a chapel library on Bagram Airbase in Afghanistan and picking up Lee Strobel’s The Case for Christ. Other experiences in Afghanistan convinced me to pursue Christ in all things, to dedicate myself to the work of His church, and to learn the art of making the case for the Truth and relevance of the Christian worldview. Experiencing warfare overseas convinced me that all the military, political, economic, and social power in the world cannot change the heart of one single person. Jesus Christ and Jesus Christ alone can change the heart of man.
I hope that in these reflections and writings that some truth about that hope will be articulated, even if only in part, or with great difficulty. However, the reality of our own fallen nature, and the limits of our capacity to fully grasp the nature of God, should not hinder us from trying to avoid logical error or incoherence; or to abandon the search for the truth that is ultimately His Truth. Therefore, I pray these writings will be a vehicle to increase in the understanding of God’s Word and His revelation to us, for “now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face.” Credo ut intelligam et Soli deo gloria!
Today, I live with my three sons in Southern California. I hold an MA in Apologetics and an MA in Theology from Talbot School of Theology in La Mirada.
